The amount of electricity generated by solar panels is directly proportional to the amount of sunlight they receive. Rain and clouds can reduce the amount of sunlight that reaches the panels, which in turn reduces the amount of electricity they generate. However, the panels themselves are designed to withstand the elements and continue to function even in rainy weather. Most solar panels are built to resist heavy rain, snow, and other severe weather conditions. It's also important to note that even on a cloudy day, solar panels can still generate electricity as long as there is light.
